"Go Fund Me" CAMPAIGN
Lights For Puerto Rico

The author is currently endeavoring with a coworker (and friend) in a campaign that intends to bring much needed relief to the families in Puerto Rico who are still without consistent power due to the hurricanes that damaged much of the country in late 2017.

Please visit the related "Go Fund Me" page and consider contributing to this endeavor.
Thank you!

Brief Description of campaign:

We would like to help the people of Puerto Rico who have been affected by the Hurricanes of these past days and are still without consistent and reliable power, if any.

We have been approved to purchase these Solar Power lanterns for a very reasonable discount by LuminAid (the company that makes these lanterns) for this campaign.  Even though we are doing this as a personal endeavor (sorry your contributions are NOT tax deductible), the company was still willing to qualify us to purchase the lanterns at the charitable discount (i.e. non-profit) rate.

The PackLite Max 2-1 Lantern is solar powered and has a USB port that allows for the charging of simple electronic devices.  It is light weight, portable, and even waterproof.  The Lantern is ideal for the needs and situations that many of the people in Puerto Rico are in.  Please see the pictures related to this campaign for more specific details of the lantern or visit: www.luminaid.com directly for more information.

We would be working directly with family relatives from the city of Caguas, Puerto Rico to ensure that every lantern finds a home.

This is totally grass roots.  No red tape.  No hoops to jump through.
Just my friend and I and the direct connections to the country that  we have which we feel we can employ in order to make this happen.

Please consider contributing to this endeavor knowing that you are helping to bring "Lights for Puerto Rico" one home at a time.
Every little bit will count.  We will not take ANYTHING for this campaign.

We will buy as many lanterns as we are able with the funds that we raise.
